Thermoconductivity Membrane sensor

Description

The sensor operates based on gas diffusion through a semi-permeable membrane into a micro-volume within the sensor. Inside this micro-volume, the gas interacts with a thermal conductivity detector. Successive measurements are taken, each inducing a conductivity curve. The average slope of these curves determines the gas concentration. To conduct these measurements accurately, periodic purging of the micro-volume gas is necessary. This purge involves injecting a different gas (such as N2 for CO2 measurement) controlled by a valve. After each purge, the gas diffuses again into the sensor through the membrane, enabling a new measurement cycle to begin. This meticulous process ensures precise and reliable gas concentration readings.
